How Limited Counter Space Inspired a Better Knock-Box
Living in small spaces means counter space is sacred, and there was nowhere to put a bulky knock box. So we started knocking our pucks straight into the trash. The problem was that a wet puck doesn't always drop on the first tap, and somewhere around the third whack, the portafilter basket would fly loose and vanish into the garbage. We realized: Why dump pucks into a giant countertop bowl when you can capture them right at the source?
PUCK[it] was CAD-modeled right on our dinette table. We engineered a twist-lock bayonet system that connects securely onto standard 54mm portafilter ears (58mm coming soon!). A durable polycarbonate body absorbs impact without scratching precision filter baskets or creating messy spills.
❌ Knocking Into The Trash
Bulky knock boxes consume sacred counter space. Tapping into the trash often takes multiple whacks, leading to flying portafilter baskets that get lost in the garbage and wet grounds messy-spraying everywhere.
✓ The PUCK[it] Solution
